The wind continued to stay strong on our travels to Gasparilla Island. The marina we were staying in is not very protected and our slip (actually the fuel dock- because they messed up on our reservation and didn't have a slip for us) was right at the entrance of the channel into the marina. It was extremely choppy and we definitely needed our fenders on the side of the boat to keep from damaging the boat. Inside the boat it felt like you were in a bumper car because the boat repeatedly bumped against the dock.

Wind aside, the island has a cute litltle town and a great bike path that runs straight through the center of the island. We biked the length of of the island and back (about 14 miles).
