The wind picked up last night while we were at anchor. It was a little rocky but not bad.

Today was a pretty smooth trip going through the Alligator River/Pungo River canal. We were hoping to see an alligator or black bear because some have been seen before but we just saw lots of tree stumps:( There were plenty of bigger and faster boats that passed us along the canal but they were courteous and didn't let their wakes push us into the shallow waters. We are in a slip in Belhaven NC tonight. It's a very small town that has a few stores and restaurants.
