Our original plan was to anchor in the Bustard Islands. We had a nice trip there but were a little concerned about seeing a lot of forest fires in the distance on the mainland. There was no smoke where we were so we found a beautiful spot to dropped anchor. Right after we go settled the Natural Resources Police made their way to us and told us we had to leave. Although there was no danger of fire on the off shore islands, the planes and helicopters fighting the fire were dropping buckets in the lake to get water and they didn't want any interference from pleasure boats.

We had a reservation for a marina a few hours away, so we called and they were able to accomodate us for the night. The marina was pretty basic and there was no town to speak of so we settled in for the evening.
