A 10 mile trip this morning to bring Huckster to Crate Marine in Belleville Ontario to get lifted out of the water, have her damage assessed and get her all fixed up.

We got to the marina and had her lifted. It appears that one or both of the propeller shafts/struts are damaged and there is a bit of fiberglass damage to the keel. It looks like the boat will be on land for at least 2 weeks. For us, the timing works out nicely for the repairs as we were already leaving for a wedding in New Hampshire and will be gone for a week.

Post Update...

Things took a lot longer than expected and we ended up in the New England area for about a month. After a great wedding weekend in the White mountains of New Hampshire, we visited Maine, New York, VT and CT. We did a lot of hiking and visiting small towns and the local museums. We were expecting the boat to be ready on Sept. 21st and arrived back in Ontario on the 20th.There were some finishing details that were needed so we didn't leave the marina until September 24th.

The repairs were very costly...+53K! Thank god for insurance.
