It was a bright calm morning to go to NY! Once we got out of the protection of being in the Quinte Bay, the winds picked - up and the seas were quite choppy - mostly at 3-4 feet. So much for the forecast of seas at 1-2 feet. After about 2 hours, the winds died down and the seas subsided. The rest of our five hour trip was much more enjoyable.

We got into Oswego NY around 3pm and after getting fuel and a pump-out, we went through the US Customs process at the marina. The process is pretty streamlined. Customs provides an I-pad on a pedestal, and after about 10 minutes of inputting information about us, the boat and our trip, we then video chatted with the Customs Officer. After clearing customs we went into a slip at the marina.

We spent the rest of the day getting provisions at a health food store nearby and then biking around the town and had an early dinner at an Italian restaurant. Friday is pizza night and we had some great wood-fired pizza.
