It was another quiet day on the water today. We saw one barge and a few small fishing boats along the way. The water gets calmer and with little debris, now that it's below flood stage for a few days.

We went through another lock by ourselves. This one took us up 50 feet. I don't know if this is a pattern, but it seems we have to go up more feet with each lock we go through. There are no tides to contend with so it must just be the incline/decline in the land.

We are anchored in a small inlet off of the Tombigbee river. We are the only boat anchored here and we've seen a few fishermen. We were greeted by a few water snakes when we anchored and have seen a few fish, water bugs and birds. Evidently there are a tremendous number of frogs here because they serenaded us throughout the night.

There were supposed to be thunderstorms today so we decided to stay another day here. We went for a walk on a country road this morning and Kevin spent some time washing off the rusty colored "mustache" on the bottom of the boat. We've only had light sprinkles throughout the day.
