After cleaning the boat, getting fuel and a pumpout, we headed for the Trent Severn. Since it is the Canadian Civic holiday today things were pretty busy. We only had 10 miles to go and then we hit our first lock along the Trent Severn waterway. We got to the lock and had a two hour wait to go through the lock. This lock is the last one in the waterway, Lock 45 and it's the smallest lock. There were 4-5 boats in the lock going before us but because we are 47' we were the only one in the lock as we went through. The lock attendants were very helpful and friendly. We went through without incident and went a short distance to our marina. We feasted on roasted vegetables and sausages in a nice marinara sauce and asiago cheese and bread from the farmers market.
