The start of the day was very foggy and we were concerned that the locks might not open again today but not to worry...they opened up and by 9am we were off. We traveled with the other sailboats for a few locks and then they pulled off for the day. We decided to power through and see if we could get through the 11 locks left in the Erie Canal.

There was a storm front that was supposed to come through but luckily we passed through an opening in the front and only experience a few sprinkles.

After 8 hours of travel we reached Waterford NY and were able to dock at the free municipal dock. The only spot that had the power that we needed, was under a bridge and there is some occasional traffic thumping but hey it's free!

Today was Kevin's birthday and we went to the only "white table" restaurant in the town and had a good dinner.

Tomorrow we are going to stay put and get some provisions and take a trip to the West Marine.
