Although the day was overcast, the seas were calm and the winds were minimal for our trip to Belmar. Our 4 hour trip was uneventful except for occasional dolphin sightings and seeing the wide variety of fishing boats out on the water. We arrived in Belmar NJ and our good friends Virginia and Dan hosted us for a great dinner and we swapped lots of travel stories.

We stayed an additional day in Belmar due to the weather. In the night, the winds picked up with gusts in the mid 20 knots and there 2+ waves hitting the boat and knocking us against the dock. We added additional fenders to the boat and had a hard time getting back to sleep until things died down a bit.
