A short day of travel today - about 2.5 hours of travel. It was easy going with beautiful weather and calm seas.

We encountered our first run in with the aftermath of the fall hurricanes that hit the south. We tried to book a marina in Fernandina FL that was huge (12 acres), only to find out that they couldn't accommodate a boat of our length because they were doing so much rebuilding due to hurricane damage and had limited dock space. The marina we are staying at in St. Simons Island, GA is also reduced in size due to hurricane damage and can't rebuild until they settle their insurance claims.

We took our bikes to the little town of St. Simon and also saw a large number of large trees near the roadways that needed to be removed. It must have really been a mess.
