Beautiful day today for traveling through the middle of Florida. We left Clewiston and travelled through the Caloosahatchee Canal, transited through to locks, and seeing lots of openings in the levees lining the canal to help if the levee banks were going to overflow. There were lots of beautiful birds and although we were told this was a great place to see alligators, we didn't see any. There were quite a few cattle farms along the canal and lots of new vegatation to see. Tall saw grass was almost everywhere.
