Today was a short trip to Allan's Pensacola Cay. This is another uninhabited island that once was the home of a missile tracking site. The weather continues to be beautiful and the waters are clear and varying shades of aqua/blue. I get a kick out of seeing the shallow waters around the keys from a distance because they appear as an aqua line at the horizon. We explored the island by kayak and then went on a hike on a trail that other boaters had created to the Atlantic side of the island. The trail is clearly marked with various debris that had washed up on shore...old shoes, bouys, netting, etc. After our walk, I snorkeled around our boat but didn't see much of any fish, just a few giant sand dollars, conch shells, and sea vegetation. I did take some pics of our propellers and the zincs on the boat, so Kevin could see their condition.

We decided to stay an extra day at this cay. We tried to find the old missile tracking site but were unsuccessful. We did kayak to a new part of the island and hiked some more. When we got back we decided to do some snorkeling. Just before we hopped in the water, I looked over the side of the boat and spotted a 6 foot shark. We opted to stay on board and have lunch.
