After 2 slightly rainy days, we lucked out with a beautiful, clear day to travel the extensive trip (13 miles) to Washington Island. The Island really reminded us of Maine and the vibe of the island is very much like Vinalhaven, ME, where we have spent many summers. We took a 2 hour tram ride on the "Cherry Train" and saw a lot of the most popular sights: the Art and Nature Center, the Farm Museum, the School House beach, and one of the 2 lavender farms.

Tomorrow we'll bike about 16 miles and take a ferry over to Rock Island and walk around it for a bit. Kevin is really looking forward to the bike ride:(
