We left hoping all of our technical issues were taken care of. They seem to be fine. The engine didn’t overheat and the batteries charged along the way. Fingers crossed that it stays the same.

We traveled about 4.5h/24 miles/ 3 locks. We moored at Smith Falls at around 1pm. We tried to bike on a converted railroad line/trail but when we got to the entrance, it was blocked by heavy construction. We went back and walked around the town, which has some nice old buildings and a good friendly atmosphere. There was a small beach near our slip and all day long kids splashed and giggled as they jumped off the floating dock across from the beach. At around 7pm a bagpipe and drum group practiced for at least an hour about 509 feet from us. The rain came in and the music went away.
