It was a gorgeous day for a 8.5h/30mile/11 lock day. We still did well with our engine problems so hopefully it will be the same tomorrow.

We had a fair amount of waiting at locks and for bridges to open but that’s all part of the experience. I was able to get off the boat and explore Merreckiville when we had a long wait. It is a cute town with lots of history.

One of the boats we ended up traveling in the locks with a lot was a family of 4 traveling in a 24 foot boat. They were very friendly and I don’t know how they could keep their humor traveling for 2 weeks in such tight quarters. The mother was dying for a good shower and was very excited to stop at a lock where she was told they had really nice ones:)

The scenery for today was beautiful - a mix of rural areas and marshy narrow canals.
