We are back!

Quite the trip…1225 miles traveled. 225 hours boat driving , 105 locks traversed.

We really enjoyed ourselves over the past 7 weeks. Each day was an adventure with its own challenges.

The challenges varied: mechanical issues, storms, wind, smoke, delays at locks and bridges, closed donut shops, anchors that didn’t catch, hats that flew off, a dingy motor that was finicky, stinky water, trouble catching lines in locks…you get the drift.

But each day was also filled with nice surprises and experiences… meeting a wide variety of people, eating a wide variety of ice cream, squeezing under low fixed bridges, swimming in the lakes, biking along great bike paths in beautiful towns and cities, eating lots of cheese and crackers, going to Cirque De Soleil, visiting family and friends, fantastic clouds and sunsets.

We did it all together. Just two knuckleheads out for a ride!
