After anchoring in the North River, near the mouth of Broad Creek last night, we woke to a dense fog. The fog quickly lifted when the sun rose. Our trip to Hertford was uneventful. Lots of flat water, mild winds, and beautiful sunshine. We pulled into a nice marina, Albermarle Plantation Marina, one of 9 marinas along the Albermarle sound, that offer free slip space for up to 48 hours. The Plantaion is about 1,40O acres and we had a lovely bike ride exploring it. We are off tomorrow to stay in Edenton for 3 days. There is supposed to be a pretty heavy storm coming our way and we'll hunker down in another free marina.

Not quite as adventurous as your trip.

Annabelle and Pippa are fascinated with your journey; I will use it to explain map reading and geography. And by all means hunker down for a few days and stay safe. Hopefully the storm will be brief. I am curious to learn the kitchen capabilities of your boat; how is the cooking?

Hi Tom.
We are so happy to serve as a learning experience for Annabekke and Pippa
As to galley capabilities...We have a microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, stove and oven (although we haven't been able to get the oven started and it serves as storage space right now.) We also have a gas grill.

So pretty much everything you need for cooking for 2. We also have a side by side small sub zero refrigerator and freezer.
I've been trying to get fresh fruit and veggies every few days and then have frozen meat, seafood and rice etc. that I can use to make dinners with.
