We started the Atlantic Intercoastal Waterway today. Once we got to mile marker one, we made our way through many bridges and waitied for many bridges to open up for us. It took us 3.5 hours to go 12 miles. At mile 12, we encountered our first lock. We were the first in the lock and the lockmaster said we did a good job! The lock wasn't as difficult to navigate into as our slip at the marina. It turns out that there are many snow birds heading to FL and slip space is at a premium. But we are here and secure and ready to head out to Mile marker 50 or so tomorrow.
