Got an early start to be able to get through the 2 locks we needed to go through today. The first lock had a 65 foot drop but it was easy breezy because this lock and the following one had floating docks in them. You entered the lock and the lock tender took your lines and attached them to the cleats on the dock and we didn’t have to do anything else but enjoy the ride. During the ride down the lock the lock tender walked back and forth on the dock, chatting and collecting fees. I wish all the locks were like the this. For the second lock, we were again tied to the dock but this time we had a second boat come up to our side and we rafted the 2 boats together. It was the first time either one of our boats had done that but it went smoothly.

We are now tied to the exit wall of the 2nd lock, which is in Saint Anne de Bellevue. It is a cute quite little town not far from Montreal.
